One of the
most important purchases that you will make in
your life time is the purchase of a home. This
process involves many specialists, one of which
is a home/property inspector.
The home
inspection profession is an unregulated
industry, making your choice of home/property
inspector more difficult. Fortunately, CAHPI
the only national home/property inspection
organization has highly qualified inspectors.
CAHPI home/property inspectors that have met the
requirements of the provincial/regional
associations are allowed to use the term
"Registered Home Inspector" or "RHI". The
registered logo identifies members of the
Canadian Association of Home and Property
Inspectors.
Choosing a
CAHPI inspector means choosing someone you can
trust to objectively, independently and apart
from anyone's interests, other than your own,
provide you with a comprehensive analysis of the
home/property's major systems and components.
CAHPI
members know their business. They are trained
to objectively demonstrate technical proficiency
and report writing skills and have committed to
continuing education in order to achieve and
maintain their member status.
Members
are committed to conducting inspections in
accordance with the CAHPI Standards of Practice;
committed to abiding by the CAHPI Code of Ethics
and are dedicated to providing superior customer
service.
Homebuyers
are not the only people who hire CAHPI
inspectors. Home sellers also use CAHPI
inspectors to gain knowledge of the condition of
their home before placing it on the market.
Smart home sellers know that knowledge about
their home's condition makes the selling process
more palatable.
Homebuyers, home sellers, homeowners, or anyone
who wants to make an informed decision about a
house or property based on objective information
deserves a professional CAHPI home inspection.
Our seven (7)
provincial/regional organizations are
self-regulating professional bodies of home
inspectors, whose members are finding that it is
through education and sharing of information via
publications, meetings, educational seminars and
conferences, which the profession of a home
inspector in enhanced. Affiliation and
receiving their designation from a professional
organization is the best evidence of an
inspector's competence and professionalism. |
